Fire at Camden Market

I was in Camden Market on saturday, and when I left everything was fine. It was a lovely sunny day. By the time I got back to Brighton that evening, the fire had happened. The fire was not in our part of the market, but it is still devastating for everyone, even if nobody was hurt. Camden is incredibly important to London artistically.

I have done a number of readings for traders in the Canal market. I do remember mentioning something going wrong to several of them, but since neither they nor I would have thought of a fire, I did not know what it would be.

Market traders are incredibly resilient and resourceful, and I hope the other markets help in some way.

When I get to the market later this week, I am sure I will get plenty of comments about why didn’t I predict it, but predictions require a question, and who is going to say "Will there be a fire in the market this weekend?".

I remember back to a month before 9/11 when I did readings for a group of American Airlines crews. All of them showed some kind of disaster, which of course they all denied.

Being a Cassandra wins few favours. I much prefer to say how to change the future for the best, rather than wait for disaster to strike.
