Tarot and things

Global Credit Crunch - who can you trust?

I have been saying for some years to anyone who will listen to me that things will go bust. To be honest with you, I am a little surprised it has taken so long. The financial institutions and banks who spent billions telling us how we can trust them are all now busted flushes. They owe each other billions that are very unlikely to be repaid - the banks are bankrupt, penniless, kaput. Politicians were telling us how they trust the financial institutions, which we now know to be not true. Read the rest of this entry…

Reading Tarot at Butterfly in Camden

I had not realised that I have not been keeping you up to date with Butterfly Tarot. We have now been open since April 2008, and we are getting busier. Butterfly Tarot is in the entrance next to Dingwalls nightclub. I am in the unit for about ten days a month, which usually means three or four days for the first three weeks of the month, and usually Wednesday to Friday of those weeks.

Beryl Stockman is usually there the other days for Tarot readings.

We are gradually adding stock, and now we have a selection of Tarot decks for sale, and books on Tarot, Astrology, and esoterica. Beryl is an artist, so she is keen to encourage artists with an esoteric vision.

If you want to make an appointment, you can phone me on 0791 863 7940. I am still available for readings in Brighton, so it is a good idea to phone and check where I am.

News March 08 Issue 3

At last there is more light every day, and life is waking up again. I have been working hard in London getting Butterfly Tarot in its new home.

Butterfly Tarot moves in

It has taken far, far longer than I could have ever imagined, but the unit at Camden Market opened on the first two days of March. Read the rest of this entry…

A Magical and Mystical Year

So many things have happened in the last twelve months, and 2008 looks to be just as busy…

“The only interesting journey remains the journey deep into the psyche”

This quote by Marc Forster appeared in the news while I was writing this newsletter. Who’s he? The new director of the next James Bond movie, thats who, and he wants to ‘concentrate more on Bond’s mind and less on his body’. Read the rest of this entry…

News Feb 08, Issue 2

After Issue 1, a friend of mine asked what would I have to write about in the next one - January is a quiet month. I must admit; things looked pretty thin, but then something magical happened. There is loads going on! For a start, there is the move of Butterfly Tarot from a stall into a ‘baby’ unit in Camden Market, then Alison Cross, ex-Chair of TABI contacted me with new ideas for Supertarot. Then there is the strange case of mistaken identity on Brighton Pier. Read the rest of this entry…

I was in Camden Market on saturday, and when I left everything was fine. It was a lovely sunny day. By the time I got back to Brighton that evening, the fire had happened. The fire was not in our part of the market, but it is still devastating for everyone, even if nobody was hurt. Camden is incredibly important to London artistically. Read the rest of this entry…

Gordon Brown’s nail biting habit - a palmist’s view

More than ever politics is obsessed about spin and presentation. A lot of time and thought goes into the style of clothes, haircut, voice - the list is endless. Gordon Brown took over from Tony Blair, who clearly used make-up and anything else to improve how he looked. Gordon is the antithesis of Tony, a man who likes to be seen as solid, heavyweight, no gimmicks. Read the rest of this entry…

The Tarot: History, Symbolism, and Divination

I have only just come across Robert M. Place’s book on the history of tarot. It seems to be very good - at least that is what the enthusiastic reviews say. I did venture on to the tarot elists some years ago with a few comments on the history of Tarot, but it was very clear that everyone was better than me on the subject. Maybe this book will put me on the right track.

There were no plans for a Christmas wishlist - I think I am too old for that, but if somebody would like to have a word with Santa, now you know what would be appreciated.
