Catherine Chapman is the driving force behind the writing of Beyond the Celtic Cross. The genesis of the book was simple. Cath was having relationship problems, and she was struggling with making sense of the tarot reading on her situation. As she wanted to know more about the techniques of card counting and elemental dignities, I decided to use her Celtic Cross reading as an example of how to use them. From an early stage she thought there was a book that could be written, but it took a lot to convince me.
Since Catherine was relatively unknown in the tarot world, I suggested she start-up a website in preparation for when the book would be published. The confidence she gained from learning the tarot techniques helped her as she created Tarot Elements from scratch, with no prior knowledge. She has now created a fantastic blog that is well-respected in the tarot community.
Update: Cath now calls herself Kate, which I think shows her growing confidence in her views of the tarot and the major contribution she is making these days.
