Tipareth – Beauty
Tipareth means Beauty. Tipareth is the 6th sephirah on the Kabbalistic Tree of Life. In the Tarot it relates to the Knights or Princes court cards, and the Sixes Minor Arcana. The Sun is the planet associated with Tipareth.
Swift, strong, hasty, rather violent, yet just and generous, noble and scorning meanness. If ill-dignified, cruel, intolerant, prejudiced, and ill-natured.
The joy of will manifest, the questioner’s Work in its fullness.
Departure, absence, flight, emigration. A dark young man, friendly. Change of residence. Additional meaning: A bad card; according to some readings, alienation.
Travel, messenger, obstacles removed.
He is subtle, violent, crafty and artistic. A fierce nature with calm exterior. Powerful for good or evil, but more attracted by the evil, if allied with apparent Power or Wisdom.
Arrival, approach — sometimes that of a messenger; advances, proposition, demeanor, invitation, incitement.
Ideas, plans, gives and takes.
Skill, bravery, capacity, defence, address, enmity, wrath, war, destruction, opposition, resistance, ruin. There is therefore a sense in which the card signifies death, but it carries this meaning only in its proximity to other cards of fatality.
Increase of matter, increase of good and evil, solidifies, practically applies things, steady, reliable.
Utility, serviceableness, interest, responsibility, rectitude—all on the normal and external plane.
Victory; obstacles swept aside, the first necessary victories of the Pure Fool. A newly initiated elder flexes his or her first powers.
